This Week's Announcements

"Holiday Hop" to Benefit Mission Texas 2009  The St. Luke's Parish Hall will be grooving big time Dec. 12th  from 6 to 9:30pm at the "Holiday Hop" to benefit the Mission Team traveling to Texas in June 2009 to help the victims of Hurricane Ike.  Bring the whole family and bring friends too!  That 70"s band, Obsidian (featuring our own Paul Menser on guitar and vocals), will be providing the music.  There will be beverages and dessert.  Bring a potluck or finger-food to share.  All donations will be used to send the Mission Team on their way!

The Angel tree is in the Parish Hall beginning Today!  If you would like to help brighten a child's Christmas, please take a tag and provide a gift for that child.  All unwrapped gifts should be returned to the church before December 14th.

Mission Texas, 2009 Gift-Wrap Fundraiser   On Sundays, December 14 and 21, members of the Mission Texas team will be available in the Parish Hall to wrap your Christmas gifts!  We are providing the gift-wrap materials and charging only $1.00/package (or a donation to our trip).  Our first priority is to cover airfare for 21 people to Houston.  Please support YOUR 2009 Mission Team and let us make your holiday a little easier!

MISSION will be the topic of Adult (and Teen) Sunday Education at 9 a.m. on November 30, and December 7.  Buddy Hall will lead the discussion.  This class will be especially appropriate for members and families of our teams going to Kenya and Texas in 2009, as well as all parishioners who support our mission work.
