MGM starts capital fund campaign

The Building & Grounds Committee has joined forces with the Stewardship Committee to kick off the "Maintaining God's Ministry" campaign.  With a goal of raising $100,000 over the next three years, monies pledged will be used to maintain the building and grounds at St. Luke's.  The list currently includes new boilers, new carpet for some areas of the church, a new copier for the office, and repairing (and insulating) the roof.

Our goal is to have families pledge $1 / day for three years.  This will raise over $95,000 in pledges - enough to pay for the above mentioned repairs and provide money for smaller items and Aunexpected@ maintenance.

Does $365 a year sound like a lot?  Here are some ways that could help you afford to give the church $1/day for three years. . .

$       buy two less "mochas" or "cappuccinos" each week

$       go out to dinner one less time each month.

$       get a re-usable bottle and fill it at home instead of buying a bottle of water each day.

$       once a month, rent a dvd and watch it at home instead of going to the theater.

$       take a "home lunch" to work two days each week.

MGM Pledge cards have been mailed to all St. Luke's families.  If you didn=t receive one, but would like to make a pledge, pledge cards are located in Parish Hall by the MGM poster.  Or call the church office, 522-8465, and we will gladly mail one to you. Capital Funds Campiaign
